1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using AIQ (www.theaiq.org), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Optimal AI (Rambjorg R&D2). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the service. Your continued use of AIQ following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
AIQ is an AI fluency assessment and learning platform operated by Optimal AI (Rambjorg R&D2). The platform includes:
- The AIQ Assessment — a free multi-stage assessment that measures your AI fluency across Think, Apply, and Lead dimensions and assigns you a tier from 1 to 9.
- AI~Foundations — a free 12-lesson course covering the foundational mental model of AI, available without an account.
- SociA|~ Society — a paid membership subscription granting access to the AI~Workflows course (Tiers 4–6, 20 lessons) and the AI~Leadership course (Tiers 7–9, 20 lessons), as well as community forum access and AIQ Certification upon completion.
AIQ is a static learning platform. No advice, professional certification, or accreditation of any kind is implied by use of the service beyond the AIQ tier designation described herein.
3. Subscription and Billing
SociA|~ Society membership is offered on a monthly basis ($19 USD per month) or an annual basis ($179 USD per year), billed in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Price changes will be communicated to registered users by email with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect. Continued subscription after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. AIQ does not store card numbers or sensitive payment data. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.
4. Account
To access membership-gated content, you must create an account using a valid email address. Authentication is provided via magic link (email-based, no password required). You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of the email account associated with your AIQ account.
You may hold only one account per person. Sharing login credentials, sharing magic links, or otherwise providing account access to any third party is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.
5. Permitted Use / Prohibited Conduct
You may use AIQ for your own personal learning and professional development. The following conduct is expressly prohibited:
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically downloading course content, assessment questions, or any other materials from the platform.
- Sharing, reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing AIQ course content to any third party.
- Reproducing or republishing course materials in any medium without prior written permission from Optimal AI.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to derive source code or content from the platform.
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform.
- Using the platform in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
6. Content Ownership
All AIQ course content, assessments, scoring frameworks, branding, and related materials are the exclusive copyright of Optimal AI (Rambjorg R&D2), all rights reserved. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest or licence in AIQ's intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the platform as a subscriber.
You retain full ownership of any reflection notes or written responses you create within the platform. By submitting content to the platform, you grant Optimal AI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely as necessary to operate the service on your behalf. We will not use your reflection notes for marketing or share them with third parties without your consent.
7. Termination
You may cancel your SociA|~ Society subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your membership access continues until the end of the current paid billing period; no partial-period refund is issued after the 14-day refund window has passed (see our Refund Policy).
Optimal AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users, the platform, or Optimal AI. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before termination and an opportunity to remedy the breach.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Optimal AI's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of AIQ — whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise — is limited to the total amount you paid to Optimal AI in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
AIQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Optimal AI does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Optimal AI's liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.
If you are a consumer resident in an EU member state, you retain any mandatory statutory rights afforded to you under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be derogated from by contract. Nothing in this clause limits those rights.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our service, applicable law, or business practices. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect, clearly stating the nature of the changes and their effective date.
For non-material changes (such as clarifications, typographical corrections, or changes that do not affect your rights), we may update the Terms with immediate effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of AIQ after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
